Current Ride: Brockley Star – 15 yr, 15.3, Chestnut, Gelding
Current Level: BE100 (Novice 2014 Season)
My horses are a huge part of my life, and my aspirations within the equestrian sport are very high. My progression from ponies to horses was as smooth as I could have hoped for, my super coloured pony Antonious taught me all I know, and allowed me to move forward onto a career in BE. I pride myself on the dedication I have to this sport; the day to day work with my horse is key to our success. Despite my ripe young age, I have high expectations of myself, and although I do not plan to pursue a career in equestrian, I hope to still be competing in this sport as a hobbie for many enjoyable years to come.
In my own words, GG's Tack are a friendly local tack shop, whose ethos is providing the best quality products at the most reasonable prices. It is an honour to be sponsored by them, and I wear their logo with much pride.
Current rides: Dylan II, Charlie XVIII, African Blues, Coronado Forest, Zalinero.
Competitive level: From BE90 - Intermediate/CIC**
After studying Equine Management at Hadlow College, I now work at a small International Event yard in Kent.
Aswell as competing my own horse Zalinero, I also produce and compete horses for eventing. These include young horses, event ponies, and even re-trained racehorses (Forest and Blue) who compete in RoR classes.
Highlights to date include wins at Purston Manor & Tweseldown Novice, competing in OIU21 classes, and coming 11th in our first Intermediate!
I hope to make a career out of producing horses one day. But as for now I shall just try and enjoy the ups and downs that eventing throws at you! Its brilliant to have sponsorship from GG's which I am so grateful for, so bring on 2014
Current Ride - STANLEY 16.3, 16yo tricoloured warmblood
Current Level - BE 80 & BE 90
I have always had a passion for horses and have been lucky enough to have owned my own since I was a young girl; however it was only last year I decided to give eventing a go. After qualifying and landing my first job as a PE teacher last July I finally had some funds to get me to the places I wanted to go and a horse that enjoys eventing as much as I do. Stanley and I had a successful first year competing in local events and finished the season coming 3rd at Borde Hill BE80 (unaff) out of a field of 42. We are looking to move onwards and upwards towards BE90 events this year and hope to have another successful season.
GGs tack have been such a fantastic sponsor who have not only provided some fab clothing but have also been a great support. GG's are so helpful and will go out of their way to get the best gear for the best price. I am really grateful for GG's continued support this year and can't wait to get back out on the course!
New Rider for 2014
Current Ride - Two Tone Tess, 15.3hh, Scewbald Irish Sports Horse
GG's Tack welcomes Beth to the Team,
Beth has been away for two years studying at Hadlow Equestrian College and was unable to Have Tess with her during that time so 2014 is the year for Tess to be brought back into work and for some training and competing locally with the target of a BE 90 towards the end of the year.
Beth started as many at a local riding school aged 4yrs before getting her own pony 'Daisy' from the Blue Cross, a real education, but took Beth to local competition with many thrills and spills. Beth was later fortunate to get a ride on the local legend 'Mallydam Tamzin' and together the combination represented The Rother Valley Riding Club at the National Championships on several occasions both indoors and out.
Then Tess came along but unfortunately education got in the way, but now with the exams under her belt and new found knowledge the combination are working hard to aim for the BE goal they have set.
Stay in touch with Beth and tess's progress through this page or on twitter @BethEQservices
Current Ride :- My Prince Charming
I'm a 16 year old eventer currently studying A levels at Godalming College. I've owned my pony, My Prince Charming, for just over two years now. I bought him with the intentions of doing a few local shows and pony club competitions but caught the eventing bug by coming 6th in our first BE80 together, and now we're heading off to Badminton in May to compete in the BE90 Grassroots championship! The 2013 season was our first full season with BEwe managed to win the BE90 section in the South East Eventers League which was sponsored by GG's tack shop and now we're now sponsored by them! I'm very excited to be working with GG's tack shop and look forward to see what the next season will hold!
In 2014 Eventing season GG's Tack sponsored riders will be wearing HIGH DEFINITION head cams (where permitted) so you will be able to experience their rounds first hand from the perspective of the rider..........
HOLD ON TIGHT !!!!
